Key job responsibilities
• Lead and execute end-to-end network capacity planning and deployment strategies across multiple data centers in the Japan Korea region
• Spearhead cross-functional collaboration with Network Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Technical Program Management teams to ensure seamless capacity execution
• Manage and prioritize multiple high-priority projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
• Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential deployment challenges
• Design and execute automation and innovation initiatives in network scaling processes to improve efficiency
• Monitor and ensure compliance with local regulations and AWS global standards
• Establish and maintain standardized processes for network scaling projects while maintaining flexibility for region-specific requirements
• Build and mentor a team of network deployment planners and coordinate with local installation teams
• Drive project timeline adherence while maintaining AWS's high standards for quality and safety
• Conduct capacity forecast analysis and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure physical infrastructure resources align with business demands
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives in network deployment methodologies and processes
• Establish and maintain relationships with third-party vendors and contractors to ensure project delivery excellence
• Develop and update documentation for network deployment standards specific to the regionTravel requirement: Up to 20% travel across the region's Availability Zones

*Project Management:*
• Own end-to-end network capacity planning and deployment strategies across multiple data centres in the APAC region.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration with Network Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Technical Program Management teams to ensure seamless capacity execution.
*People Management:*
• Lead and mentor a team of network planners and coordinate with local installation teams.
• Drive performance management processes including annual reviews, promotion cycles and development plans for direct reports while maintaining Amazon's high bar for talent
• Mentor and coach team members to build a strong leadership pipeline and support career growth within AWS
*Program Management & Continuous Improvement:*
• Manage relationships with third-party vendors and contractors to ensure project delivery excellence
• Analyse capacity forecasts and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure physical infrastructure

Work/Life Balance
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related technical field
• 7+ years of experience in data center networking and infrastructure planning or 5+ years of experience managing large-scale infrastructure deployments
• 3+ years of people management experience
• Strong understanding of network architecture, structured cabling infrastructure and fiber solutions
• Experience in managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders
• Master's degree in relevant technical field
• Professional certifications in Project Management (PMP) or ITIL
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and network automation tools
• Demonstrated track record of process improvement and automation initiatives
