Job Description

U.S. Bank is seeking the position of Senior iOS Engineer in Palo Alto, CA. Multiple openings.

Essential Responsibilities:

The Senior iOS Engineer will be responsible for the analysis, design, testing, development and maintenance of best in class software experiences; collaborating with a team and across the organization; taking responsibility of the software artifacts produced adhering to U.S. Bank standards in order to ensure minimal impact to the customer experience; and being adept with the agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles. Specifically, the Senior iOS Engineer will be responsible for the following:

  • Manage and own the technical delivery of agreed product for release from concept, scoping, to build and Quality Assurance testing;

  • Collaborate with the wider team to produce acceptance criteria for user stories, providing technical and domain expertise to help drive decision-making;

  • Migrate Network Service module to Kotlin programming language and share code such as business logic, connectivity between mobile platforms with Kotlin Multiplatform and integrate Kotlin Koin dependency injection to inject dependencies into modules and sub-modules, provide a factory bean definition and resolve a component dependency.

  • Coordinate with team members, participate in all invited product scrum meetings including design review, architecture review, joint application design, testing strategy meetings, issue resolution meetings, and implementation meetings;

  • Ensure a quality system design that provides good system performance, an effective human-machine interface, optimal operational cost, flexibility on existing data conversion and adaptability for future changes and emerging technologies;

  • Develop software code to sprint user stories;

  • Write unit test cases and perform unit testing of developed software;

  • Triage and remediate defects and perform peer review of product team’s software, unit test cases and test results;

  • Performing work using the following tools and technologies: Xcode, Instrument, Simulator, Git, Cocoapod, XCTest, Objective C, Swift, RxSwift, SwiftUI, CoreData, UIKit, ReactiveCocoa.

Basic Qualifications:

This position requires a Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Computer Engineering and three years of related software development / programming analysis experience.
