Working as part of Automotive Product Management team to coordinate and define the requirements for ADAS and Autonomous Driving SOCs and systems. The responsibilities include managing automotive requirements, IP roadmaps and product execution. As part of the role, candidate would be working with other automotive teams – SoC, hardware platforms, software tools and frameworks – for standalone ADAS solutions and integration of ADAS functions in cockpit domains.
Responsibilities include:
• Successful candidate for this role will define, collect and manage Automotive product requirements, access business opportunities and help drive go-to-market plans and customer engagements.
• Leading and defining the automotive product roadmap of hardware and software products for ADAS and cockpit systems.
• Must have knowledge of current and evolving semiconductor technologies and their impact on chipset architecture. Will work closely with internal and external software, hardware and test teams across global sites and time zones.
• Work with IP & domain leads and team to drive technology roadmap for automotive requirements
• Maintain our competitive positioning across tiers from features, power, performance, benchmarking and cost, and use those to ensure that we continue to have the best in class overall automotive product roadmap.
• Automotive System design and use case analysis to evaluate architectural changes to existing and new platforms
• Working with customers and internal engineering teams on customer RFI, RFQs, system level use case modelling and analysis
• Experience with Infotainment and Connectivity chipsets and architectures a plus
• Experience with Automotive or mobile BSP and Apps software such as Android, Linux, or QNX is a plus. Develop risk management strategies and plans and monitor effectiveness
This is an office based position in San Diego, CA
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Humanities, or related field.
• 8+ years of Product Management or related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
• 10-15+ years Product Management or related work experience, completing full cycle of products from concept to commercialization
• 5+ years of experience in product architecture, product management with experience in taking customer requirements to a SOC product
• 5+ years of experience in automotive software development, use case analysis, system level modelling
• 2+ years working with operating budgets and/or project financials.
• 2+ years negotiating 3rd party business agreements.
• 3+ years working in a large matrixed organization.
• Experience in customer engagements and product marketing in Automotive
• Experience managing complete cycle of Product Requirements Document to Change Requests to prioritization of commercial feature requests
• Experience on safety operating systems, safety hypervisors and device drivers
• Effective communication skills with cross functional teams, both technical and non-technical, within a fast-paced, collaborative, innovative environment
