Your key responsibilities

We’ll look to you to interact directly with the customer, stakeholders, and subject matter resources to coordinate, validate and socialize in one or more areas of technology transformation. Your responsibilities will also include to manage, assess, and implement changes to the related deliverables. You can expect to help our clients with technology-enabled transformation to achieve their business objectives.

You will be responsible for supporting EY’s technology transformation in a Database Analyst role. Provide dedicated support to the government by performing the following activities:

  • Client Interaction: Engage directly with customers, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to coordinate, validate, and socialize technology transformation initiatives.
  • Project Management: Manage, assess, and implement changes to deliverables related to technology transformation projects.
  • Technology-Enabled Transformation: Assist clients in achieving their business objectives through technology-enabled transformation.
  • Learning and Development: Gain exposure to leading practices in technology transformation and delivery, and address a wide variety of business issues using technology.
  • Role Model: Uphold EY’s core values and maintain and expand client relationships through high-quality work.
  • Database Analyst Role: Support EY’s technology transformation as a Database Analyst, providing dedicated support to government projects.

Your specific role activities

  • Collaborative Environment: Work with various project teams to support the VIEW team at DHS.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Client Presentation: Prepare and participate in client presentations.
  • Advisory Services: Provide advice, assistance, and written recommendations to clients.
  • Project Support: Support projects following the System Engineering Life Cycle (SELC).
  • Business Process and Requirements Development: Assist in developing business process diagrams, use cases, functional requirements, and system requirements.
  • Acquisition Activities: Support acquisition activities, including rough order of magnitude, costing, and other funding requirements.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with COTS vendors for database structure updates.
  • On-Call Support: Be available for on-call support as needed.
  • Team Orientation: Work effectively with various groups and departments, as well as a diverse group of individuals.
  • Professionalism: Present a polished, professional, and diplomatic image to clients.
  • Commitment: Willingness to work until the job is done and a commitment to the mission.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Meeting Participation: Attend assigned meetings, including daily stand-ups (DSU) and backlog grooming sessions (BLG).
  • Assistance to DBAs: Assist other DBAs as needed, including troubleshooting calls, design sessions, and production support.
  • Task Management: Perform tasks assigned by the team SCRUM master and government representatives.
  • Query Writing and Reporting: Assist in writing complex queries and creating reports.

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Database Administrator or a similar role.
  • Clearance: Ability to receive a Top Secret clearance.

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Clearance: Active Top Secret clearance

What we offer
We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $101,500 to $186,000. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $121,700 to $211,300. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
