You will work closely with Linux kernel, OS, and hardware developers to automate and execute tests to ensure functionality, reliability, and performance. You will expand our automated testing system, develop automated test result analyses. and create tools to support Continuous Integration/Continuous Testing processes.

As a Software Development Engineer in Test Senior, you will be responsible for:

• Performing testing of Akamai Linux kernel and OS, analyzing results, filing bug reports, and working with development team to find solutions
• Developing new functionality, regression, stress, and performance tests
• Expanding use of continuous integration and continuous testing technologies in support of Akamai Linux kernel and OS testing
• Executing validation and verification of Akamai kernel and OS functionality and settings on production systems
• Qualifying cutting edge hardware platforms in terms of Linux Kernel/Driver/OS support.
• Collaborating closely with other platform and application SQA teams, Linux kernel/OS developers, and Akamai hardware development teams

• Be a motivated self-starter who enjoys collaborating with others but capable of working independently
• Possess substantial experience with designing, executing, and analyzing results of functional, regression, performance, and stress tests
• Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Be proficient in scripting (Perl/Python/Bash) and test automation (e.g. Jenkins CI)
• Have a solid understanding of Linux and OS fundamentals, network protocols (TCP/UDP/IP, Ethernet, as well as HTTP/TLS), and Linux Systems Administration.
• Have a good understanding of Qemu/KVM-based virtualization technologies.
