Job responsibilities
- Technology Risk Operation Manager is a hybrid role, which is a technical, execution-focused role encompassing a wide variety of day-to-day operational tasks as well as contribution to the evolution of security and technology risk.
- Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
- Technology infrastructure review, implementation, and upgrade. IT infrastructure-related problem diagnosis, IT infrastructure enhancement and solution implementation, like the setup and review for infrastructure baseline, firewall rule, ACL etc.
- Monitoring and maintaining server, network equipment in data center. Hardware replacement and software/OS update, Vulnerability remediation.
- Producing routine reports, such as internet usage statistics, servers’ capacity reports, tech risk report, periodic log review etc.
- Communicating with technical teams from regional/global and seek technical support or advice if necessary.
- Work with internal teams/external vendors to optimize reliability, performance, latency, and efficiency for infrastructure services.
- Support and management of technology risk control platform, like SIEM platform, Tenable Nessus, EDR and CyberArk platform.
- Follow JPMC firm standard to ensure proper control and management of onshore infrastructure and systems.
- Future and Options trading and clearing system risk and control review.
- Other tasks assigned by Head of technology.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or computer science.
- Candidates are self-motivated, hands-on operators who are passionate about technology risk operational in a high growth environment.
- Willingness to stay updated with the latest trends and developments in technology and risk management.
- At least 5 years of trading infrastructure support experience or tech risk operation experience.
- Deep understanding of the hardware and software components that make up trading infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage systems, and data centers.
- Strong English communication skill, both verbal and written, to convey risk-related information to both technical and non-technical with regional and global peers and stakeholders,
- Strong focus on securing trading infrastructure against cyber threats, including implementing firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption.
- Solid hands-on knowledge and experience in Windows/Linux server, routers, switches, firewall and database configuration and management.
- Proficiency in using monitoring tools to track the health and performance of trading infrastructure and set up alerts for potential issues.
- Skills in managing infrastructure projects, including upgrades, migrations, and new implementations, with a focus on risk assessment and mitigation.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements related to trading infrastructure, ensuring that systems and processes comply with industry standards.
- Ability to work closely with IT teams, traders, and other stakeholders to ensure that infrastructure supports trading needs and risk management objectives.
- Must pass the Futures Industry Practitioner Exam.
