  • 1) Be a Growth champion within the business.
    2) Build annual engagement plan of record to drive retail and credit sales growth, with ongoing monitoring of key program performance indicators, including sales, receivables and revenue.
    3) Develop program strategy and provide marketing leadership to cross-functional teams and external agencies to successfully implement integrated marketing plans designed to optimize account acquisitions and drive profitable sales.
    4) Closely align with Partner Management team to develop shared goals and objectives, define priorities, and deliver consistent voice to partners.
    5) Collaborate with digital team to drive incremental sales through low-cost online channels.
    6) Facilitate / lead strategic and tactical marketing discussions with Partners. 7) Create presentations and other documentation for both external Partner meetings as well as internal reviews. 8) Manage annual financial budget for applicable programs, including monthly forecast, and budget reconciliation. 9) Review program performance and recommendations with Partners and drive strategic discussions regarding new initiatives. 10) Leverage research and insights tools to make informed decisions, including initiating studies and sharing relevant insights with partners. 11) Monitor process control points and governance requirements. 12) Ensure adherence to all business and regulatory requirements, including Legal, Fair Lending, Risk, and Compliance.
Business and Technical Requirements
  • 6 to 10 years experience
  • Ability to successfully interact with and influence various levels within the organization, including Senior Management and external client partners
  • Knowledge of private label and/or co-brand credit card marketing programs and performance drivers; understanding of credit P&L
  • Ability to analyze / interpret data and leverage that data to develop smart marketing strategies
  • Experience leveraging multiple marketing channels to maximize ROI
  • Track record of successfully managing complex marketing programs in a highly matrixed team environment
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles with solid understanding of digital channels
  • Strong team player; ability to lead, partner and negotiate with cross functional team to successfully deliver results
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Solid project management skills with strong attention to detail
  • Promotes a strong culture of teamwork across organizational boundaries
  • Awareness of regulatory environment and impact on credit card marketing
  • Experience in the credit card/financial services industry and Marketing preferred; i.e. customer acquisition, existing customer marketing campaigns, product upgrades, program launches.
  • People management experience highly desirable.
  • Advanced program management skills with focus on translating program needs into requirements and timelines, and ability to manage self and team members to drive execution and delivery against program objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to succeed in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, matrixed business environment.
  • Ability to manage high-capacity workload and effectively plan, prioritize, assign and complete projects on time.
  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written); able to articulate needs and influence based on the message versus relying on authority.
  • Ability to think strategically, continuously looking for opportunities and efficiencies to meet evolving business needs.
  • Excellent attention to detail; understanding of core marketing principles.
  • Knowledge of automated solutions and agile marketing techniques to facilitate accelerated marketing timelines is highly desirable.

Education:
  • Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
