Description
This position will require occasional domestic or international travel (<10%).
Minimum Qualifications
  • BS/MS/PhD in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry or Physics
  • 3+ years experience in relevant industry
  • Strong materials fundamentals in structure-properties-performance relationship, including mechanics of materials
  • Knowledge of different materials characterization and analysis methods (i.e. SEM, EDS, XRD, Raman, mechanical tests, etc)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical knowledge of glass, glass-ceramics, structural ceramics or composite systems
  • Applied knowledge/experience with brittle material processing
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to use statistical tools and techniques
  • Demonstrated ability to independently drive multi projects, setting priorities and deliver products
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, providing technical expertise and updates on project milestones
Pay & Benefits
  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $135,400 and $204,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
