Description
In this role, you are going to work on power modeling, analysis and correlation tasks for wireless communication SoCs, including: - Act as power task force leader- Define chip power specification- Define power targets and work with XF teams to ensure the product meet power targets- Define and generate power vectors with DV support- Generate pre-silicon power estimations- Analyze and identify power reduction- Build power model for key use cases- Post-silicon power correlation
Key Qualifications
  • Power architecture, including supply scheme experience
  • Very early-stage power estimation
  • Power team lead and XF team communication experience
  • Pre-silicon power modeling, analysis and power reduction experience. Proficient in PTPX, Power Artist or other power analysis tools. Full chip experience is a plus
  • Post-silicon power correlation experience. Full chip experience is a plus
  • Good understanding of Low Power ASIC logic design and UPF; Actual design experience is a plus
  • Good understanding of ASIC physical design, timing closure; Actual implementation experience is a plus
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Shell, Perl or Python)
  • System architecture knowledge is a bonus.
  • Basic knowledge on wireless protocols, e.g., WiFi, BT
  • Basic knowledge on common SOC components, e.g., CPU, fabric, peripherals and PCIe
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Education & Experience
BS + 10 years of relevant industry experience

Pay & Benefits
  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $170,700 and $300,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
