As a corporate facilities manager, responsibilities will include management of a portfolio in New York City, along with oversite of various construction projects. Ability to travel within the Northeast territory.FACILITIES MANAGEMENT
• Minimum of five (5) years experience. In both facilities and project management.
• Time management, organizational skills, ability to navigate/prioritize workload.
• Maintain good relationships and communicate effectively.
• Outstanding customer service and client engagement skills.
• Problem solving; ability to assess concerns and escalate resulting in timely deliverables.
• Strong ability to manage a portfolio of commercial buildings and retail branches
• Interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently
• On call 24-7, expected to triage emergencies by way of phone and in person when necessary.
• This position requires presence in New York City five (5) days per week.
• Management and oversight of vendor contracts
• Ability to identify and mitigate risk
• Adhere to schedule of required job specific tasks and training.PROJECT MANAGEMENT
• Manage complex renovation projects with strong skills in overseeing and developing work plans
• Deliver project goals, adhere to schedule, maintain budget, manage change, resolve issues and deliver timely product, ensuring end user and stakeholder satisfaction.
• Candidate will anticipate and plan for the unexpected, engage vendor partners and establish concise and consistent communication.
• Strong ability to manage through crisis/emergency situations
Job Description
  • Manages major physical properties in an assigned region and drives the performance of properties to achieve the lowest efficient operating expense level.
  • Ensures properties are operating in a code compliant, safe, functional and cost effective manner. Manages vendors and contractors. Prepares and works with the regional property manager to approve annual operating budget and capital/expense project plan for the region.
  • Identifies and executes on opportunities for regional, cross-regional and/or enterprise-wide initiatives or projects.
  • Designs and implements building specific plans including space planning, cost saving initiatives, and long-term asset preservation. Assists Regional Property manager in the implementation of regional initiatives.
  • Oversees property and/or regional related projects, up to $200k in value, including reconfigurations and consolidations. Approves property related projects, up to $50k in value. Ensures projects are on budget, on time and completed with minimal disruption to end users.
