As a Principal Software Engineer you’ll have the opportunity to
Architectural Leadership:
- Champion design thinking principles to ensure solutions meet user needs and business objectives.
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex, distributed enterprise applications using Java, GoLang, and ReactJS (including ).
- Lead the creation and maintenance of our technical architecture, aligning it with business goals and scalability requirements.
- Architect complex software systems, ensuring performance, security, and scalability needs are met.
Software Craftsmanship:
- Design and develop robust, maintainable, and efficient backend and UI components, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
- Consistently produce high-quality software with a focus on unit testing, regular code reviews, and continuous integration.
- Uphold high standards in quality and operational excellence.
Technical Documentation:
- Develop comprehensive technical documentation and presentations to clearly communicate architectural decisions and design options.
- Ensure documentation aligns with project scopes, milestones, and deliverables.
Guide and Mentor:
- Guide and mentor, a team of engineers, conducting code reviews and leading design discussions to ensure engineering best practices.
- Act as a technical authority, providing direction and expertise to the team.
- Drive the adoption of coding standards, design patterns, and development best practices.
Engineering Advocacy:
- Promote and enforce technical standards across the organization to achieve concrete outcomes and drive engineering excellence.
- Foster a culture of learning and innovation through hands-on technical guidance and mentorship.
Project Leadership:
- Lead the discovery phase of major projects, ensuring the design aligns with business goals and technical requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scopes and milestones.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with architects, designers, developers, and other stakeholders to define technical specifications, system architecture, user experience (UX) considerations, and development roadmaps.
- Collaborate closely with Product Management, UX/UI, Quality Assurance, and DevOps teams.
- Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Innovation and Research:
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in software development, cloud computing, and design methodologies.
- Stay at the forefront of technological advancements, conducting research to identify emerging tools and methodologies.
What you'll bring:
- 10+ years of experience in designing and developing highly scalable applications
- Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, design patterns)
- In-depth expertise in Java, GoLang, and ReactJS ( minimum 5 years of UI development experience with React/ and 3 years with GoLang)
- Strong understanding of distributed systems concepts, microservices architecture, and container technologies ( Docker, Kubernetes )
- Deep knowledge of DevOps principles and practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automation tools ( Git, Maven, Jenkins, Azure DevOps ), and observability tools
- Experience building and deploying cloud-native applications on major cloud platforms ( GCP, Azure )
- Working knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases ( Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, Elastic Search) and GraphQL/REST APIs
- Familiarity with testing frameworks ( JUnit, Mocha, TestNG, Selenium )
- Experience building event-based distributed systems with tools like Kafka
- Develop service contracts for RESTful web services using industry standards like Swagger and OpenAPI .
- Design and implement web service applications utilizing Java, JSON, REST, SOAP protocols, and the Spring Framework .
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum)
- Exposure to AI/ML/GenAI concepts(Nice to Have)
