Wells Fargo Lead Specialty Software Engineer - Validation Automation Developer

In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex initiatives on selected domains
  • Create ReactJS web interfaces and backend python components to support Validation team members as they Validate models
  • Ensure systems are monitored to increase operational efficiency and managed to mitigate risk
  • Define opportunities to maximize resource utilization and improve processes while reducing cost
  • Lead, design, develop, test and implement applications and system components, tools and utilities, models, simulation, and analytics to manage complex business functions using sophisticated technologies
  • Resolve coding, testing and escalated platform issues of a technically challenging nature
  • Lead team to ensure compliance and risk management requirements for supported area are met and work with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives
  • Mentor less experienced software engineers
  • Proven success in OpenShift migration, a key initiative for the team.
  • Model Validation Instrument Automation design and build capability.
  • Demonstrated leadership in automating critical validation techniques which will be necessary both in the cloud and in OCP containerization
  • Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including managers
  • Lead team to achieve objectives
  • Partner with production support and platform engineering teams effectively


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years with Skills with ReactJS, Python
  • 3+ years with GCP and OCP containers
  • 1 + year with Wells Fargo Orchestra capability
  • 3 + years with Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift.
  • 5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • CI/CD tools Experience: Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Harness.
  • 2+ years of Model Validation Tool build Experience.
  • Experience with Wells Fargo Enterprise standard tools: Orchestra, Python and Panda’s, Financial Data Store, Kafka setup and Google Cloud Protocol Pub/Sub Messaging
  • Experience with Security tools: SonarQube, Checkmarx, Black Duck.
  • 1+ years with setting up Wells Fargo Ping Authentication experience


Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience building Custom Application development for validation quantitative analysis team members with Python and ReactJS.
  • Experience building these systems to support multiple platforms including OCP and GCP
  • Experience with Model Validation Tools and Techniques.
  • Application build of automation capabilities within Wells Fargo on OCP containers
  • Application build of automation capabilities within Wells Fargo on GCP containers
  • Experience with Validation Tools and the automating of key validation functionalities
