Key job responsibilities
Working backwards from the customer translation complex functional and technical requirements into detailed architecture and design.
Deliver systems and features on schedule with high qualityMentor of junior engineers
A day in the life- Design and develop state-of-the-art approaches to solving complex and ambiguous big data problems
- Cultivate engineering and operational excellence through metrics and continuous learning- Mentor and grow high performing SDEs to take on increasingly higher responsibilities
- Think big and work with Senior leadership, business stakeholders and engineering teams to define vision, strategy and requirements.
- Own all metrics around initiative goals you will define. We make decisions based on data.
- Manage the agile development process and methodology to deliver tech requirements on time and with a high-degree of precision.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree, or Master's degree
- 3+ years of engineering team management experience
- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
- 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams
- Experience delivering Big Data Analytics solutions


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
- Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
- Experience taking a lead role in architecting, designing, and building complex systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences
