DESCRIPTION

eero is looking for a highly proficient, lead plus hands-on WiFi Test Engineer to own our HW-SW testing efforts and keep our platform running smoothly. You will help the existing WiFi test team build test cases, design networks to better our customer experience, validate vendor code drops along with eero SW solutions, and ensure that end users have a great connectivity experience. You'll work closely with development teams, to help discover and debug issues.As part of eero’s mission to reinvent WiFi, you’ll be making a difference in the fabric of the modern home.
Key job responsibilities
- Develop test plans for eero's whole home WiFi products
- Define, implement WiFi test cases and support automation
- Design network for wireless, network systems
- Develop ad hoc tests to support engineering debug
- Drive decisions about testing improvements
- Execute WiFi performance characterization tests
- Report test results and plan status
- Create/maintain performance and interop nightly regression test suites and testbeds
- Create test suites in our automation framework towards WiFi Performance coverage

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 4+ years of WiFi performance validations experience
- Solid understanding of Wireless protocols related to WiFi and wireless communications
- Knowledge on 802.11 standards such as 11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be
- Understanding of WiFi stack and networking stack


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Work experience on OSI stack from L1-L7 or L2-L7
- Knowledge of LTE, BLE and Thread is a plus
- Ability to analyze wireless captures, debug and replicate field issues
- Understanding of embedded systems from wireless debugging perspective
- Ability to review standards and provide recommendations to development teams based on characterization and lab validations tests is a plusPursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
