• Work with innovation and expertise, becoming a part in multidisciplinary teams through the intricacies of water and wastewater engineering, ensuring every initiative meets its designated targets for scope, schedule, budget, and beyond

• Work with talented Project Managers in the planning and delivery of challenging and impactful projects

• Ignite growth and opportunity, leveraging your strategic insight to help our sales teams secure new contracts through project delivery and engaging presentations all founded on deep market understanding and client needs

• Become an integral part of delivery teams through all phases of project planning, execution, and closeout consistent with established project delivery processes to meet the scope, schedule, budget, and other specified requirements stated in the contract. You will have direct access to Jacobs’ well-known, vast network of technical specialists to support your success and career advancement

• Work with Project Managers to develop the most suitable solutions for our clients most challenging issues

• Be accountable for successfully completing projects to the satisfaction of clients and key stakeholders, while simultaneously ensuring that Jacobs’ business and policy expectations are met in the areas of health and safety, quality, financial, project delivery, and risk management

• Play a role in business development activities that result in the award of new water and wastewater contracts. This typically includes client relationship development, project-specific positioning activities, teaming arrangements, proposal preparation, and oral presentations

• Contribute to the development of a Southwest Florida Market Strategy that delivers leading-edge technology solutions for our clients while also actively diversifying and expanding our client base

• Demonstrate leadership by example with integrity and candor and in support of Jacobs Culture of Caring work environment

• Mentor and support junior staff in the local and regional water group. Our Southwest Florida Water Group is growing!

Here's what you'll need

• B.S. or M.S. degree in Environmental or Chemical Engineering

• 5-10 years of progressively responsible experience with Water and Wastewater systems, planning, and municipal consulting. Progressive experience working on small to large treatment projects

• Professional Engineer (PE)

• Strong understanding of industry standard tools and metrics associated with water and wastewater, and a proven history contributing to project delivery teams to successfully meet client expectations

• Attributes that include good oral and written communications, self-motivation, team-oriented work practices, strong data analysis and technical problem solving, and a strong organizational approach

• Adept at interpersonal relationship building, conflict resolution, and leading diverse teams

Ideally, here’s what you will also have:

• Strong Network with Southwest Florida municipalities

• Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related engineering discipline
