In this roleas Manufacturing Electronics Engineer, you will be a member of the Global Engineering Department and will take accountability over the electrical and electronics discipline of the production line, and be responsible for the products configuration changes.
What you will be doing:
You will be responsible for the electronics and electrical aspects of Stratasys SAF product line with focus on product manufacturability: creation of cables and wiring drawings, assure product safety compliance, maintain controllers’ firmware, write test and integration procedures, develop production testers, define maintenance instructions, and provide technical electronics support to the production line.
On your additional responsibility, you will be the owner of multiple processes and data sets related to configuration control of your product line: maintaine production files, manage Bill Of Materials, document drawings and datasheets, create Engineering Change Orders (ECO) and more.
You will support the implementation of product improvements and upgrades by working closely with our R&D, production, procurement, quality and customer success teams.
Essential duties:
- Provide engineering support at system level for multidisciplinary products
- Define machines build and integration process, improvements and maintenance
- Control products' ECO processes and implementation
- Coordinate and participates with offshore CPE and NPI teams on design for production activities
- Control TK activities for system building/subunits local and overseas
- Implement new product revisions and escort new products changes to the production floor
- Design and build jigs and testers for electrical components and boards.
- Monitor, interact, report and provide support to the production line
- Analyze quality issues and manage remedial activities to enable production line continuity.
- Define and Support testing and refurbishment processes for electrical components.
- Lead 2nd source & cost saving activities from engineering aspects
- Manage sub-contractors for assembly lines and mechanical/ electromechanical parts manufacturing
- Be responsible for timelines and deliverables in order to meet product’s goals in aspect of DFX objectives
- Support the Production line on an on-going basis including escalations management
- Responsible for editing Production file, Production documentation, BOM’s, jigs and tools designת Perform FMEAs
- Generate/gather necessary documentation for engineering changes
- Maintain/update design & engineering documentation, technical files, test jigs and specifications
- Secure compliance with relevant safety standards
- Supervision and support of EMS production (component specs, quality)
Must have for this role:
- B.Sc. degree in Electronics Engineering - mandatory
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience in manufacturing / production environment
- Strong written and verbal English language communications skills
- Strong ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships on a multi-level basis
- Ability to present technical information effectively across all levels of the organization
- Experience in manufacturing technology activities
- Clear thinker: Simplifying strategy into specific actions with clear accountability, making decisions with speed & accuracy based on best available information and communicating priorities clearly & concisely.
- Experience with leading a production line processes and problem solving
- Experience in PDM / PLM tools – Agile is an advantage
- Experience with cross-functional cooperation, both locally and on corporate level
