What you will do

  • Organize and coordinate the invention disclosure process, including tracking, review, and evaluation of IDFs; administer the patent award program; and manage the Patent Committee process

  • Assist with managing patent filing program and outside counsel

  • Perform all internal patent asset tracking with back-end patent asset management system; act as system administrator and account representative between Patent Team and system vendor

  • Coordinate patent annuities/maintenance with annuity provider

  • Review, track, and process the patent related invoices received from outside counsel and assist with the management and analysis of the patent budget

  • Correspond with internal and external clients on behalf of the Patent Program

  • Perfom various litigation paralegal functions, including coordinating document collection, witness interviews, and case scheduling

  • Provide administrative support to the Director for Litigation and Intellectual Property, and project management support for the Litigation and IP Team

  • Assist legal professionals in collecting documents, organizing interviews and managing litigation processes and deadlines, including audits

  • Act as the main point of contact and subject matter expert on all tools and with all vendors that support the Litigation and IP team

What you will bring

  • 4+ years relevant experience as a patent paralegal

  • Bachelor’s degree & paralegal certificate or equivalent experience

  • Superior oral and written communication skills

  • Experience with a patent asset management system

  • Experience with litigation is a plus

  • Knowledge and understanding of patents is required, and trademarks and copyrights is a plus

  • Highly organized with attention to details, including the ability to own and prioritize a project and meet deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently, under the supervision of a lawyer, and in a team environment

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact well with employees at all levels, outside counsel, and vendors

  • Utilizing superior judgment, effectively manage the details of highly confidential and critical company projects

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; and Google products, including Google Drive, Sheets, Docs, and Slides

  • Notary public or ability to become one shortly after starting

The salary range for this position is $74,900.00 - $119,830.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.
