As a Sr Manager of Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Asset & Wealth Management, you are required to have full stack with primary/secondary hands-on strong experience in java development and deploying java spring boot based micro-services. Other skill requires UI/UX development experience using React based libraries/micro-frontends and a passion for working with large volume of data from trading, order, security and account data sources. This position is responsible for leading successful design, development, writing clean code & quality code review of application components at a project level. Additionally you will be responsible for performing software troubleshooting and monitoring functions for low to zero downtime for AM Compliance Trade Surveillance function in support of the firm’s Trade Surveillance objectives.

• Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development.
• Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
• Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
• Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
• Provide leadership and technical guidance to the local team and adds to team culture of respect, diversity, equity and inclusion.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
• Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Solid hands-on development experience in Java, Python or similar languages
• Strong understanding of data management principles, governance frameworks and best practices.
• Experience with ETL and data cataloging tools and systems (e.g., Informatica, Atlan, Collibra).
• Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large enterprise with one or more modern programming languages (e.g. Java/SpringBoot, Python/Flask).
• Expert in SQL, PL/SQL and data profiling techniques.
• Solid understanding of SDLC practices, Application Resiliency, Security, Agile methodologies, and CI/CD.
• Knowledge of integration technologies (e.g. GraphQL, REST etc..).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, able to give technical direction to team members.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
