What you will achieve
Develops and implements plans to support forecasted needs for supplier and/or commodities. Establishes and implements strategies for negotiating supplier agreements based on in-depth knowledge of foreign and domestic markets for optimum pricing and terms. Employs knowledge of commodity qualities, transportation options, risk management and supply chain evaluation models to develop and implement optimal commodity management strategies. Negotiates contracts and ensures contractual terms and performance scorecards are being met
You will
Directs the strategic and operational objectives of their organization
Manages their organization's staffing needs, guides the career development, and drives performance and pay discussions of team members
Tracks new technology development for assigned products/suppliers
Drives alignment between supplier roadmaps and Dell line of business roadmaps. Negotiates product cost and contracts as appropriate and Identifies opportunities for supply chain optimization and implements as appropriate
Drives suppliers to improve their scorecard performance and reports commodity and supplier performance on a monthly basis
Essential Requirements
Develops and provides strategy, vision and direction to multiple functions
Implements company-wide policies and practices
Participates with senior management to establish strategic plans and objectives
Effectively cascades functional strategy and contributes to development of organizational policies.
Through assessment of intangible variables, identifies and evaluates fundamental issues, providing strategy and direction for multiple functional areas. Translates business segment strategy into functional plans and guides execution
Desirable Requirements
Typically requires 15+ years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelor’s degree; or 12+ years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 8+ years’ experience; or equivalent experience .
Typically requires 7+ years diversified leadership, planning, communication, organization and people motivation skill (or equivalent experience)
