Required Qualifications:

    • OR Master's Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years related experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research)
    • OR Doctorate in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years related experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research)
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 1+ year(s) people management experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 9+ years related experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research)

    • OR Doctorate in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 6+ years related experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research)

    • OR equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years people management experience.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, or other machine learning frameworks.
  • 4+ years of relevant industry experience driving cutting-edge research into real world impact.
  • 2+ experience in applying LLMs (Large Language Models) towards successful product outcomes.
  • Experience building LLM workflows using cloud services such as HuggingFace, Azure, Google Cloud, AWS, etc.
  • Hands-on experience working with GenAI, LLM fine-tuning, knowledge graphs and/or reinforcement learning.
  • Experience in safety and ethical aspects of AI.
  • Demonstrated ability to simplify and explain complex ideas through written and verbal communication.
  • Experience in working with large-scale datasets.

Responsibilities

This role demands deep technical innovation and collaboration across Microsoft research and CXP product and business teams to forge novel methods, tools, and frameworks that deliver highly performant AI capabilities with measurable impact on Customer Experience. The responsibilities will include:

  • Co-lead the scale motion for the foundational architecture and AI framework with Engineering partners
  • Research new methodologies and consult on technology options for best practices in AI feature delivery across the product portfolio
  • Drive data-driven decisions for AI feature prioritization and delivery
  • Design experiments to evaluate the performance and measure the impact of new AI/ML models and product features
  • Lead the team to deliver key AI/ML capabilities across CXP products
  • Ensure compliance to Responsible AI standards throughout the AI system lifecycle
