We’re looking for a team player with the desire to be an active contributor to the continued success and improvement of our accounting teams and the organization overall. Reporting to the Corporate Director, you will provide expertise and guidance to our Global financial teams for our General Ledger and related functions, including procedure, policy, risk, controls, reconciliation, and review. You will also perform special projects and help drive consistency of processes and improvements.

Your system knowledge and accounting skills will help contribute to the success of the company, helping you to ensure all duties performed and reviewed are in compliance with internal and external requirements, and are in the spirit of our Jacobs Values.
As an Accounting Manager, you’ll regularly and successfully engage in:
• Oversight and ongoing development of technical accounting requirements for our global accounting activities, including procedures, policy, risk, controls, reconciliation and review, and continuous improvement processes.
• Ongoing support and cooperation with GL Compliance team to achieve our corporate, team, and individual goals.
• Reading, understanding, following, and testing the applicable Jacobs process narratives pertaining to Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) requirements.
• Providing support as needed to internal and external auditors.
• Preparing ad hoc reports and analyses.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification (ACCA or CIMA).
• Master’s degree in Accounting/Finance.
• 10+ years professional experience in General Ledger area
• Experience with administration of accounting reconciliation tools (ARCS preferred)
• Analytical, problem solving, and process improvement skills.
• The ability to manage geographically dispersed project activities.
• Experience with large company ERP’s (preferably Oracle).
• Knowledge and understanding of US GAAP, SOX requirements and controls.
• English skills that allow to communicate well and professionally in everyday situations, including running conference calls.
• Flexible to change and ease to adjust to dynamic working environment.
• Ability to support US/CA region in their working hours (for specific period-end activities and occasional meetings related to ongoing initiatives).
• The ability to build positive working relationships and work collaboratively with others.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Advanced user skills with MS Excel.
