Primary Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Business Supply Chain to create Division strategy for delivering customer value
- Partner with Business Supply Chain and Manufacturing Operations to define value streamresponsiveness/deliveryexpectations, as well as business inventory/cost expectations to establish planning parameters
- Act as Planning voice into Portfolio, NPI strategy and decisions
- Ensure consistent application of global standard work in partnership with Area Planning Leaders and Global Planning Process & Analytics team
- Drive Supply Chain Architecture strategy, including global fulfillment strategy and execution for division
- Ensure consistent SDS Planning, PIPO, and SOS changes occur globally
- Global product availability and backlog management – facilitate global allocations if necessary. Determine level loading strategies where appropriate.
- Support IBP/S&OP process.
- Talent Management for Global Division Planning Organization (Hire, Develop, Assign for Organizational Effectiveness)
- Represent SIBG Planning on Division Operating Committee & Leadership Team
- Drive improvements in Key Metrics:
- Service – OTIF, Backlog
- E2E Performance Metrics – Key Item Availability, Stock Out %, Supply Plan Attainment, Production Plan Attainment, Supplier OTIF
- Inventory - $, DIO, NWI $/%
- Demand Planning - WAPA, Bias
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
- Ten (10 years) of Supply Chain or Manufacturing Experience in a private, public, government or military environment
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- APICS CPIM or CSCP Certification
- E2E Supply Chain process knowledge
- Business and Financial Acumen / Knowledge
- Continuous Improvement/Lean Six Sigma and/or Business Transformation experience
- Ability to operate at Strategic and Operational levels
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Ability to drive results while navigating ambiguity
- Experience leading large cross-functional projects including using project management skills to motivate and align resources
- Proven ability to successfully influence, negotiate, and resolve conflicts to drive decisions across all levels of the organization
Work location:
- Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to St Paul, MN at least 1 day per week)
