Job Description

As a Reimbursement Escalation Specialist you will analyze, problem solve and reconcile new and aging claims.

Your role:

  • Escalating, tracking and reporting on reimbursement trends to the Revenue Cycle Management team on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
  • Working with insurnace carriers to clarify issues related to claims and managing payer prepayment audits.
  • Addressing inquiries or requests for help in resolving complicated or escalated claims from cross-functional teams, which includes Cash Application Specialists, Payer Relations, Patient Collections, and Reimbursement.
  • Reviewing and approving claims adjustment requests to validate all collection actions from work instruction have been followed, while also ensuring claims processing steps, appeals, credits and refunds are compliant with specific payer requirements.
  • Building positive relationships with operations and collection teams to minimize claims payment turnaround time.
  • Communicating with patients regarding outstanding balances and establishing and approving payment plans.

You're the right fit if:

  • You’ve acquired 4+ years of experience in medical claims billing or collections and 1+ years in a lead or supervisory role within Revenue Cycle Management.
  • Your skills include:
    • Knowledge of insurnace payers, including Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross Blue Shield and commercial plans.
    • Managing denials, claim appeals and claim recoupments.
    • Knowledge of eligibility of benefits and authorizations.
  • You have a high school diploma or GED (required) or equivalent work experience or combination of secondary education and work experience
  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this .
  • You’re a strong communication, both written and verbal.

The pay range for this position in Plymouth, MN is $34.00 to $55.00 hourly.
