As a Cost Estimator for automotive electronics, you will collaborate with stakeholders in Purchasing, Product Development, Material Cost, and Finance on all part cost matters related to electrical commodities such as displays, clusters, and interface controls. Own the cost estimating and modeling processes, continuously improving accuracy and effectiveness at all product stages.
- To develop and maintain a data/knowledge pipeline for effective cost estimation of automotive products
- Create detailed cost models for electromechanical products (e.g., electrical/mechanical components, PCBAs, and wire harnesses), providing data-driven insights for critical decision-making.
- Serve as the technical advisor in should-costs and Value Analysis / Value Engineering (VAVE), identifying cost reduction strategies, and value capture opportunities.
- Communicate and present critical cost estimation strategies, sharing best practices across functional and regional teams to build long-term organization capabilities
