We are seeking a Wireless Communications Research Engineer who will conduct research activities in wireless communication systems. This role involves supporting the development or enhancement of existing cellular telecommunications solutions. Additionally, you will contribute to guiding the evolution of our products by evaluating new technologies and exploring ways to integrate them into our portfolio.
As a Cognyter you will:
- Conduct wireless communication systems engineering research activities in support of developing or enhancing existing cellular telecommunications solutions
- Problem solving and analysis in areas related to telecommunications, both on software and hardware platforms
- Identify appropriate algorithms and approaches for solving difficult communications problems. Develop software or hardware prototypes of such solutions
- Document work in formal technical reports. Present work inside CTO group and to R&D teams and write patents where applicable
- Support testing of prototype and operational systems working closely with R&D teams to ensure solution success
- Development of 2G, 3G, 4G or 5G cellular related features from the lowest level of interaction with our hardware all the way to the interface to the frontend
- Simulate various wireless communications systems, both standards derived as well as proprietary
- System level development, debugging and integration in software and hardware platforms
- Help to guide the evolution of the products by evaluating various new technologies and ways to integrate them in our portfolio (example: a specialized Direction Finder system)
