As our Project Manager working across construction, project management, and advisory, based in Melbourne, you’ll join our Real Estate, Transactions, & Delivery team where you will have the opportunity to work across multiple industry sectors, as well as across functions within the EY Parthenon network.

Your key responsibilities

  • Providing Project Management services including managing strategy, risk, governance, design, authority approvals, stakeholders, procurement and contracting of necessary consultants and contractors to deliver a range of projects.
  • Providing leadership, project management, superintendency, and project advisory services to a range of government, institutional and private sector clients to realise their property and development aspirations.
  • Contribute to projects across various sectors including education, health, retirement living, commercial, and social housing.
  • Lead at the forefront in significant capital projects including new construction, major refurbishments, and infrastructure upgrades. This included leading the preparation of procurement and delivery strategies, constructability advice, property development advisory, project planning, risk advisory, and programming.
  • Gain exposure to new and innovative housing models such as Build to Rent and Social and Affordable Housing initiatives.
  • Investigate, develop, and use new real estate and project management technology applications to support the delivery innovative deliverables to our clients.
  • Collaborate with other EY teams to support the execution of strategically important projects.
  • Leading the full project lifecycle and engaging in projects that offer unique opportunities beyond traditional project management roles.

Skills and attributes for success

  • A minimum of 5+ years project management experience within a consulting practice/ client-side environment.
  • A project manager wanting to grow and develop their career and experience within a dynamic team environment.
  • Have prior project experience across some of the following sectors: education, health, commercial, and retirement/ living sector. Additional sector experience is favourable.
  • Leadership and demonstrated emotional intelligence.
  • Strong stakeholder management capability and sound understanding of project governance, particularly when delivering projects in live operational environments.
  • End-to-end delivery experience including project planning, procurement, design coordination, and delivery (construction).
  • Strong analytical skills, communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Vast experience in client and/or site facing roles, with proficient report writing and presentation skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work across a range of projects and an eagerness to work with and support cross-team collaborations.
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a property-related field, such as Project Management, Construction Management, Architecture, or Engineering.
