As a Qualcomm Hardware Engineer, you will plan, design, optimize, verify, and test electronic systems, bring-up yield, circuits, mechanical systems, Digital/Analog/RF/optical systems, equipment and packaging, test systems, FPGA, and/or DSP systems that launch cutting-edge, world class products. Qualcomm Hardware Engineers collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions and meet performance requirements.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field.
The BDC BT VI team are looking for an adaptable, enthusiastic, and reliable individual to form an integral part of our BT Radio Optimization and Validation team in Bangalore. The team will work closely with the BT HW, FW, Systems, Characterization teams in across Geos. The Team plays a pivotal role in the optimization and characterization of complex radio/modem features, testing HW IP and lower layer controller FW on pre-silicon emulation and post-silicon environment, system bring-up & integration for the company’s Connectivity products. Working within our team provides a unique opportunity to work across the engineering disciplines from high level SOC to low-level hardware/firmware. Typical tasks for the successful applicant would include:
Validation/Characterization of radio/modem features for BT products
Interpreting wireless specifications and product requirements
Developing test cases in python/TCL/Perl or similar scripting language
Analysis and support bug fixes during final stages of program to customers
Communication of status/bugs/issues to leads
Software and hardware debug of testing issues
Collaborate with senior team members to troubleshoot radio issues and finds solutions that are documented and shared with internal cross functional teams working on similar products.
Working with other and leading team members to plan development, testing and maintenance work
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline from an internationally recognized institution.
At least 6 months - 1 year experience in a relevant engineering role
Possess knowledge of standard lab equipment including Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer, Protocol analyzers, and RF test equipment
Attributes required:
Proficient in C and python programming skills and extensive embedded development experience
Good working knowledge of Radio fundamentals, calibration algorithms, especially Bluetooth or WiFi
A good level of Signal processing and radio communication knowledge
A good understanding of electronic hardware and reading schematics
Knowledge of RF lab equipment’s including Spectrum analyzer, vector signal generator, combiners, Bluetooth testers etc.
Good understanding of RF metrics
Self-motivated, adaptable team player
Comfortable with responsibility and with taking responsibility for their team
