Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience as a practicing attorney in an in-house legal department, law firm, or government agency.
    • OR equivalent practice of law.
  • Active license to practice law in a jurisdiction and capable of meeting admission requirements in relevant jurisdiction.
  • Juris Doctor or international equivalent degree
    • OR completion of a legal apprenticeship.
  • Experience with the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and other corruption law-related risks and preventative mitigation.
  • Experience dealing with compliance issues involving multinational companies or other large complex organizations, preferably involving complex transaction counseling, controls, and risk assessments.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to effectively manage a portfolio of projects and activities across multiple business areas, compliance functions, and geographies.
  • Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships across disciplines and seniority levels.
  • Interest in incorporating data and analytics into a compliance practice and an open, curious, and growth-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities
  • .
  • Coordinate proactive counseling, mitigationmeasures, and enhancements tocontrolsand monitoring capabilities.
  • Designenhancementstoglobalcorruption riskmodel and support implementation by PRE’s analytics team.
  • Partner with PRE’s analytics team,C&E’s investigation community, and control functionsto assess emerging risks and design & implement mitigation measures.
  • Build strategic relationships to expand ourglobalproactivecounseling practice, with a focus onaddressing significant emerging risks.
  • Direct outside counsel to support PRE’s work.
  • Contribute to the advancement of a culture of diversity and inclusion at Microsoft.
