• Develop and maintain Tesla's long-term view of market fundamentals and prices in wholesale electricity markets around the world
• Develop long-term revenue forecasts using a combination of internal modeling tools, vendor forecasts, and expert judgments
• Serve as a technical representative of the team with prospective customers on our forward-looking views
• Monitor market design and policy initiatives to assess their impact on storage monetization in the mid to long-term
• Leverage your expertise in market fundamentals and our simulation capability to make data-driven recommendations to improve trading strategies in collaboration with Autobidder algorithm and market operations teams
• Develop and maintain medium-term price forecasts to inform Tesla's retail business offer pricing and portfolio management

• Professional expertise in at least one of the following: US, European, or Australian electricity markets and aptitude and interest to learn about others
• 3+ years of direct experience in at least one of the following: electricity market operations, energy-related commodity trading, utility-scale investment diligence, long-term price forecasting, energy markets quantitative analysis
• Proficiency in Python to manipulate, analyze, and visualize complex data sets to extract insights and trends
• Track record of impacting investment or trading decisions through your own market analysis and insights
• A passion for extracting insight from data and complete comfort in communicating highly technical topics to a range of audiences
• Experience on a power trading desk or other exposure to real-time operations
• Modeling of energy storage market applications via simulated market dispatch preferred
• Strong understanding of market governing documents including tariffs, nodal protocols, business practice manuals, and experience using these primary sources to confidently answer technical market design questions
• Experience with power flow modeling, FTR/CRR trading, node/hub basis risk assessment
