In this role, you will:
Collaborate on internal and external communications initiatives that supports the region
Create and execute communication strategies and plans that drive brand reputation and establish the company as an employer of choice
Write talking points, briefing documents, leader messages, intranet articles, press releases, key messages, media statements, and social media submissions.
Support C-suite level townhalls, including event planning, logistics, talking points, and decks
Respond to reporters from key national and international media and manage the PR agency in driving the media relations strategy
Identify storytelling opportunities that promote the brand, establish strategies and channels to promote thought leadership and communicate the company’s point of view in the region
Identify advocacy needs, speaker engagements, award submissions and social media engagements that helps to promote the Company
Track and measure results to ensure they are in line with intended outcomes and business objectives
Partner with other communicators to ensure alignment and consistent messaging
Be a trusted partner to the top executives and a strong mentor and coach to the team
Required Qualifications:
18+ years of Public Relations, Media Relations or Corporate Communications experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
14+ years of management experience leading a team of communicators
Experience in Public Relations, Media Relations or Corporate Communications, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
Experience developing communication strategies and plans that drive business priorities
Experience in issue management and crisis communications
Experience working with media reporters and associations
Experience writing stories and pitches that help build the brand
Experience in integrated content development across mediums
Experience presenting information in a manner that persuades and influences decision making
