What you'll do
- Participate in all stages of tax planning initiatives, providing guidance in accordance with ASC 740 and effectively communicating ASC 740 requirements to team leads.
- Provide tax accounting guidance and due diligence support for potential future mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
- Prepare income tax accounting memoranda to document analysis and conclusions for transactions and other non-routine matters, ensuring compliance with internal controls.
- Monitor emerging issues in U.S. GAAP accounting standards and SEC reporting, as well as proposed changes in tax laws, and assess the financial statement impact.
- The position reports to the Director, Tax Accounting (Special Projects) and liaises with the tax planning team, regional tax and accounting experts, internal and external auditors, amongst others.
- Assist with the review of income tax returns as it relates to the reporting of non-routine transactions.
- Manage and direct compliance efforts for Sarbanes Oxley for all income tax controls and documentation requirements.
- Lead process improvement initiatives as it relates to the tax accounting around non-recurring transactions and events.
- Complete other special projects as needed.
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum of eight years (8) years of corporate income tax experience, including six (6) years of provision tax experience.
- Experience with provision and reporting processes for multi-national SEC registered companies and prior public accounting experience.
- Extensive working knowledge of U.S. GAAP accounting principles and ASC 740.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA and/or Master’s in Taxation preferred.
- Experience with OneSource Tax Provision, Oracle and advanced Excel skills are a plus

For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$180,000 per year - USD$200,000 per year.
For Washington, DC-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$180,000 per year - USD$200,000 per year.
