RESPONSIBILITIES Main responsibility for this position is to develop & maintain the system/subsystem hardware required for Fire Alarm Control Panels requiring expertise in analog and digital circuit design. SPECIFIC TASKS INCLUDE:
- Develop hardware design and testing of panels, loop cards, etc with adherence to cybersecurity
- Effort estimation, planning, technically manage external consultants and suppliers
- Maintain know how on applicable industrial FIRE standards
- Interact with marketing/offering/PO to define and clarify System requirements
- Support the manufacturing with best practices for product introduction
- Generate innovative Ideas, Visit customers as part of OVOC (observational Voice of Customer) activities
- Investigate complex customer issues as required
- Lead and mentor the team where required
MUST HAVE - Bachelor or master’s degree in engineering with specialization in hardware design.
- Experience in Hardware design & development using various microcontroller platforms
- Experience in designing EMI/EMC compliant circuits including power supply, charging circuits etc
- Deep understanding on different communication protocols like Ethernet, CAN, SPI, RS422, RS485
- Good understanding and experience in taking the product through the development life cycle in to manufacturing and launch
- Good communication and leadership skills
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Ability to travel worldwide ca. 20%
