What you'll do

In your role as Senior Data Scientist, you will be responsible for the design, coding, testing, and quality assurance in a development team. You will assess and solve issues in new or existing code, and work with high attention to detail, reliability, and efficiency. You will collaborate closely with your team members to ensure success. In your day-to-day you will:

• Work with a team of highly technical and motivated developers.
• Design, develop, deploy, and monitor efficient AI/ML modules that drives complex business applications.
• Build algorithms based on statistical modelling procedures and build and maintain scalable machine learning solutions in production.
• Use data modelling and evaluation strategy to find patterns and predict unseen instances.
• Collaborate and work with teams spread across geographies and time zones.
• Liaise with stakeholders to analyse business problems, clarify requirements, and define the scope of the resolution needed.
• Analyze large, complex datasets to extract insights and decide on the appropriate technique.
• Research and implement best practices to improve the existing machine learning infrastructure.
• Provide support to engineers and product managers in implementing machine learning in the product.
• Understand and use computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, computability and complexity and computer architecture.
• Use exceptional mathematical skills, to perform computations and work with the algorithms involved in this type of programming.
• Collaborate with data engineers to build data and model pipelines.

• Bachelors/master’s degree in computer science, machine learning, data science or related fields, with knowledge and experience on knowledge representation

• 8+ years of industry experience in a senior data scientist role

• Extensive knowledge of various machine learning algorithms and concepts used to build predictive models and Generative AI.
• DevOps knowledge (CI/ CD, Jenkins/ Docker, Pipeline Management) is desirable.

• Identify and translate real world customer problems into feasible technical solutions and implement them independently. Expertise in developing and training advanced machine learning models using frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Keras, ensuring high accuracy and efficiency for a variety of applications.
• Strong background in designing and implementing deep learning architectures, including Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs), Recurrent Neural Networks (RNNs), and Transformer models, to solve complex problems in natural language processing, and sequential data analysis.
• Good to have knowledge of internal control compliance tool such as SAP Process control
• Good to have subject knowledge of Regulations such as SOX, COSO framework etc
• Basic Knowledge & experience of SAP BTP service is a must.
• SAP BTP services such as AI core, SAP HANA Cloud DB, HANA Vector DB, Business AI, Document Extraction...etc is preferable.
• Skilled in performing efficient data preprocessing, feature engineering, and augmentation techniques to improve model performance and generalization on unseen data.
• Mastery of statistical analysis and predictive modelling techniques, applying rigorous validation methods (cross-validation, bootstrapping) to assess model reliability and performance.
• Experience in implementing real-time inference systems, optimizing models for latency and throughput to meet the demands of live data processing and decision-making applications.
• Familiarity with machine learning model monitoring and management practices, including version control, performance tracking, and updating models in response to drift in data patterns.
• Strong analytical skills in evaluating the effectiveness of AI/ML models and algorithms through metrics and KPIs, ensuring continuous improvement in alignment with business objectives.
• Proficient in the ethical and responsible use of AI, including understanding biases in data and models, ensuring privacy compliance (e.g., GDPR), and promoting transparency and fairness in machine learning applications.
