Software (SWA) comprises the definition, specification, and allocation of requirements from different sources utilising knowledge of systems engineering processes (specification & architecture). Contains processing of use case and feature requirements into conceptual models, operational scenarios, technical requirements, and functional description. Covers specification, design, implementation, and unit testing of Software (e.g. device drivers, microcode, hardware-related software & firmware) according to the requirements and architecture defined in the systems engineering process. Covers establishment and maintenance of Software Configuration Management (SCM) practices into software development projects, continuously building and integrating infrastructure tools and systems.

Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and manage cloud-based solutions across public, private, and hybrid cloud environments.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and design scalable, reliable cloud architectures.
• Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, cost, and security.
• Lead cloud migration projects, ensuring minimal disruption and adherence to best practices.
• Implement and manage cloud security measures, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and compliance protocols.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members and other stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud-related issues in a timely manner.

Preferred Skills:

• Minimum 8 year’s of experience in R&D with at least5 years of hands-on experience in cloud computing, including designing, deploying, and managing cloud environments.
• Strong expertise in one or more cloud platforms (e.g., OpenStack, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
• Proficiency in cloud infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM Templates).
• Experience with cloud migration strategies and best practices.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security principles and tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Advanced certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
• Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
• Proficiency in automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, Git, distCC).
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, ELK Stack).
• Knowledge of networking principles and cloud networking services (e.g., VPCs, VPNs, Load Balancers).
• Strong understanding of IT governance, risk management, and compliance in cloud environments.

Hands-on exposure to SCM/CI methodologies, tools (eg: Jenkins pipeline, Gerrit, distCC) and scripting languages (python, groovy). Expertise/working knowledge in Yocto is an added advantage. Management experience / Achieved advanced skills and knowledge within a specific professional discipline involving the integration of theory and principles with organisational practices and precedents. Typically requires 4-6 years relevant experience and/or a graduate equivalent (or higher) degree.
