Serves as a senior vice president for Compliance Data Risk Oversight within Independent Compliance Risk Management (ICRM) responsible for developing and implementing elements of the data compliance risk oversight program, including developing systems and reporting to facilitate ongoing oversight and monitoring of data compliance risks. Analyze the controls, issues, data concerns and the status of associated remediation and mitigation efforts to identify status and trend analysis for data compliance risks.

Responsibilities:

  • Participating in the design, development, delivery and maintenance of best-in-class program to provide oversight of data compliance risk.
  • Develop the strategy for the oversight and reporting of Citi’s key data compliance risks. Ensuring data compliance risks within Citi are effectively identified, measured, and reported in a way that facilitates transparency of the control and management of the data compliance risks consistent with the bank’s risk appetite statement and all policies and processes established within the risk governance framework.
  • Establishing the monitoring, analysis and reporting strategy for critical data elements created by or utilized within ICRM, with an emphasis on providing meaningful information to support the ability to aggregate data compliance risks, including trending analysis.
  • Establish the strategy, framework, engagement model and processes related to participation of ICRM in the review or data use cases relevant to data compliance risks.
  • Develop and implement appropriate strategies within reporting to allow for data aggregation for all levels of reporting (e.g. Business Unit, Committees, Product).
  • Partnering, collaborating and working with other areas within Citi, as necessary.
  • Acting as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members in relation to owned areas of responsibility.
  • Appropriately assessing risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
  • Keeping abreast of internal policy changes, issues and data concerns, and industry best practices related to the management of data compliance risks in order to further identify new key risk areas impacting data compliance.
  • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
  • Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent written, verbal and analytical skills. Ability to articulate and visualize information in reports, dashboards and other documents in a concise and clear manner.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills in order to guide, influence and negotiate with stakeholders, often at a senior level.
  • Ability to navigate a complex organization, and work both independently and collaboratively with global partners across ICRM and Citi, across all levels of seniority.
  • Ability to exercise independence of judgement and autonomy. A self-starter, who is flexible, innovative and adaptive, with critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly motivated, team oriented, organized and with high attention to detail. Awareness of regulatory requirements including local and US laws, international and industry standards.
  • Excellent data analysis and organizational skills and capability to handle multiple projects at one time
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and reporting tools (Tableau or Qlik)
  • Demonstrated knowledge in area of focus

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience; experience in compliance, legal or other control-related function in the financial services firm, regulatory organization, or legal/consulting firm, or a combination thereof is preferred. Experience in area of focus.
