Principal Responsibilities are to assist with the following:

  • Partner with first and second lines of defense to establish and maintain policies and procedure office for TxB; Advise, challenge and influence teams, as needed
  • Evaluate relevant regional and global regulatory requirements and mapping to risks, and coordinate efforts to ensure relevant policies and procedures are maintained
  • Execute Business Review exercise based on inputs from the New Activities process, strategic initiatives across the firm, evaluation of Risk Assessment related data, and new or changes to mandates
  • Coordinate end-to-end policy and procedure management for TxB, including reviews of lessons learned
  • Develop training materials as needed
  • Maintain governance program for TxB owned policies and procedures and participate in firmwide initiatives and working groups

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in Risk management in the financial services industry preferably in Wholesale Banking
  • Knowledge of general non-financial risk framework preferred
  • Experience with risk assessments and/or risk and control self-assessments is preferred
  • Strong project management skills
  • Detail-oriented and able to produce quality work product, even when working under tight timeframes
  • Comfortable being independent and a self-starter
  • Ability to decipher and navigate ambiguous situations with the aim of developing solutions
  • Ability to exercise strong judgment and decision-making in a collaborative consensus-driven environment
  • Analytical; capable of identifying and distilling relevant information quickly
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • MS Office proficiency; advanced knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel
