Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Team Management:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of content designers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
    • Provide guidance and support to team members, facilitating professional growth and skill development.
  • Strategic Planning & Execution:
    • Develop and implement comprehensive content design strategies that align with PayPal's business goals and user needs.
    • Oversee the end-to-end content creation process, ensuring consistency, clarity, and adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Collaboration & Cross-Functional Partnership:
    • Work closely with UX designers, product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to create seamless and intuitive user experiences.
    • Advocate for content design best practices and user-centered design principles across the organization.
  • Process Improvement & Innovation:
    • Establish and refine content design processes, tools, and standards to enhance efficiency and quality.
    • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation in content design.
  • Hiring & Talent Development:
    • Lead recruitment efforts to attract top talent in content design.
    • Develop onboarding programs and training initiatives to ensure team members are well-equipped to excel in their roles.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 8 years of experience in content design, UX writing, or related fields.
    • At least 4 years in a leadership role, managing and developing product content design teams.
  • Skills:
    • Proven ability to develop and execute content strategies that drive user engagement and meet business objectives.
    • Strong understanding of user experience principles, information architecture, and content management systems.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Design, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
