Purpose Statement

As Program Manager, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing various infrastructure-related projects to ensure smooth and efficient operations in the organization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage project budgets and timelines, and ensure that all projects meet organizational goals and requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages the technical challenges of technology application and new product development; identifies, communicates, and manages moderate levels of technical risk.
  • Manages initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing processes; develops and implements project plan; builds team ownership and commitment to project plan.
  • Responsible for team and cross-functional communications; liaison between the team and the stakeholders.
  • Lead phase and business reviews, project meeting minutes, issues log, metrics, and other key communications.
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation plans.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation and reports.
  • Manage project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment and promote knowledge sharing and best practices.
  • Identify potential risks and issues that may impact project delivery or IT system performance.
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
  • Resolve complex problems and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Manage vendor relationships to ensure quality and timely delivery of products and services.
  • Provide regular status updates to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Contributes to best practices and functional/technical direction for the job function within the context of areas of responsibilities.
  • Requires thorough practical knowledge of theories, principles and systems in a professional job function and general understanding of related job functions.
  • Recommends operating policies and establishes procedures and approaches for team(s) managed; identifies and drives business, product, service and process improvements.
  • Identifies and resolves functional, technical, operational and organizational problems in a specialized area of expertise based on existing policies, procedures and solutions.
  • Adapts plans and processes to meet business, operational, service and/or project challenges; reprioritizes objectives, milestones, etc. as required.
  • Guides by using policies, resource requirements, budgets and team plan, impacts the team's ability to achieve service, quality and timeliness of objectives.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10+ years of experience in IT
  • 5+ years of experience in Infrastructure Services
  • Proven ability to deliver IT solutions in a regulated environment, with experience leading large-scale initiatives.
  • Well organized and capable of managing multiple priorities projects.
  • Proven experience developing and maintaining a strong relationship with IT partners, and software vendors
  • Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to effectively communicate with executive leadership
  • Able to work on a team, in person, and in a collaborative virtual setting

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP, CSM Certifications
  • Master's degree in IT
  • Experience in life science or other regulated industry
