Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to different regions and countries during farm visits, fostering strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders in the warm water industry.

  • Coordinate online meetings with countries to offer technical assistance and provide timely technical advice when requested.

  • Drive the creation of technical material, scientific articles, and the coordination of benchmark studies in the region.

  • Coordinate the implementation of the disease surveillance program in strategic countries for our Warm Water business, ensuring the highest level of biosecurity and disease management for different species.

  • Assist countries in the product registration process of new products, supporting them through the required regulatory processes.

  • Provide comprehensive technical training on fish vaccination and biosecurity to our company's customers, distributors, and internal staff, ensuring a deep understanding of best practices in the AQUA farming.

  • Prepare and deliver quarterly technical reports related to Warm Water projects on going in each region, highlighting key achievements, opportunities, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.

  • Provide technical support to countries in local activities such as fairs, conferences, customer visits, and workshops. This includes representing our company and fostering strong relationships.

  • Foster collaboration with the aqua species marketing team and other regions to ensure consistency in product portfolio positioning across the organization's marketing messaging and strategies.

  • Stay up to date with technological trends and innovations in the aquaculture industry, providing insights and recommendations for new opportunities and advancements.

  • Promote the adoption of new and innovative technologies in Warm Water Farming to boost brand exposure for our company's Animal Health Aqua species.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Veterinary, Aquaculture, Marine Biology, or related field.

  • Proficiency in English (additional languages are a plus).

  • Over 7 years dedicated to aquaculture industry (multispecies are a plus).

  • Prior knowledge and hands-on experience in fish vaccination, fish/shrimp farming, animal welfare, and pathology.

  • Experience implementing biosecurity and disease management programs in aquaculture farms.

  • Demonstrated track record in delivering technical support and training to customers and internal teams.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling the establishment of strong relationships with stakeholders of all levels.

  • Suitable candidates may include those with backgrounds in internal roles, fish/shrimp farming, pharmaceuticals, feed industry, nutrition and supplements, disinfectant industry, or related fields.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Technical Expertise: Possess a deep understanding of aquatic health, including diseases, treatments, and prevention methods in aquaculture and animal health.

  • Leadership: Demonstrate strong leadership skills to effectively manage global teams, fostering collaboration and inspiring them to achieve common goals.

  • Cross-Cultural Communication: Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with teams across different regions and departments.

  • Strategic Thinking and Problem-solving skills: Possess an analytical and strategic mindset to develop long-term plans, set goals, and efficiently manage resources while identifying opportunities and providing innovative solutions.

  • Project Management: Exhibit strong project management skills to oversee and coordinate technical projects including field trials on a global scale, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards. Conduct market research, and effectively publish scientific papers.

  • Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze complex technical issues, identify root causes, and propose effective solutions. Adaptability and creativity in addressing challenges and making informed decisions.

  • Continuous Learning: Stay curious and committed to lifelong learning in order to stay abreast of new scientific discoveries, technological advancements, and industry trends in aquatic health.

  • Computing skills: Microsoft 365 Office Programs.

  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
