- Lead the product development lifecycle, encompassing ideation, defining requirements, go-to-market strategy, quality assurance, and launch.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, data science, and internal stakeholders to deliver map data that enhances customer experiences.
- Foster innovation and the use of cutting-edge technologies and outside-the-box thinking within the team.
- Identify inefficiencies and opportunities for significant improvements across the maps platform.
- Lead the planning, management, and prioritization of the basemap product roadmap, ensuring alignment with overall company strategy and stakeholder interests.
- Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of your features.
- Stay informed about the latest trends and innovations in the map data industry.
- Communicate effectively about the basemap product to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Basic Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (Master's preferred).
- 7+ years of experience as a Product Manager, preferably in the geospatial or mapping industry.
- Proven track record of successfully launching and managing map-based products.
- Strong understanding of basemap and map data.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and related technologies.
- Familiarity with map data standards and formats (e.g., GeoJSON, shapefiles).
- Knowledge of open-source mapping tools and platforms.
