What You’ll Do What You’ll Bring
- Investigate the root cause of technical issues involving various systems, their sub-components, and firmware. This includes batteries and other systems in vehicles, energy products, and robotics
- Perform field inspections of various products
- Recreate abusive conditions and failure modes to confirm theories about system properties
- Develop and validate mitigations to identified issues and coordinate interdisciplinary product improvement implementations
- Develop internal standards and processes to continue to improve the safety of our products
- Degree in Engineering, preferably mechanical, electrical, chemical, or equivalent experience
- Fundamentals in thermal, mechanical, and electrical engineering
- Experience with field investigation
- Ability to interact across a variety of groups collaboratively
- Practical, hands-on, can-do attitude
- Failure analysis experience a plus
- Lithium ion / automotive / grid scale energy storage experience a plus
- Approximately 25-50% expected travel
