What You’ll Do
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams in optimizing power, performance, area, cost, etc for memory components
  • Evaluate latest memory technologies and implement best known methods into Tesla’s products
  • Improve product yield by optimizing processes without impacting reliability and performance
  • Qualify vendors who can create long term impact in scaling Tesla’s products while reducing costs
  • Drive qualified vendors in reducing defects and sustain high volume manufacturing at reduced PPM levels
  • Owner of RFQ's and contract management - ensure Non-Disclosure Agreements, General Terms & Conditions, Piece Price Agreements, and other related contracts are negotiated, agreed and appropriately documented before business is initiated
  • Drive negotiation for piece price and product development to ensure that Tesla’s pricing meets best-landed-cost expectations as well as Supplier Industrialization standards of Best-In-Class quality
What You’ll Bring
  • Degree or equivalent and minimum 10 years of experience in process development, memory debug, memory qualification, reliability improvements, etc.
  • Strong background in optimizing processes for memory related components
  • Hands on experience in debugging the system related issues impacting yield, power, performance, etc.
  • Experience is collaborating with external vendors and enabling new memory technologies is highly desired
  • In-depth understanding in device physics, device level reliability, process qualification, physical failure analysis, statistical analysis
  • Good background in SOC/memory interaction, memory/board interaction is desired
  • Ability to resolve ambiguity and adapt to fast paced environment
  • Effective communication and ability to work with geographically distributed teams
  • Expected travel is 25% of time
