As a Global Commercial Center Leader, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Driving strategic design and aligned execution of BG priorities and objectives across all defined process and service areas
  • Owning and optimizing commercial processes, including leadership of global projects & change management, inclusive of price execution, product and customer lifecycles, sales enablement, training, and pipeline management, business reporting & insights, and commercial contracting
  • Driving implementation of sales technologies plus internal BG and customer adoption of digital options
  • Providing performance analysis, reporting, and insights to drive informed and timely decisions
  • Optimizing and providing daily management for sales districts to improve customer experience
  • Leading and owning annual operational planning for the Commercial Center, including managing costs from centralized service organizations
  • Optimizing the overall sales forecasting process to reduce manual efforts and increase accuracy
  • Ensuring projects, process improvements, and service delivery are aligned with key stakeholders


To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Fifteen (15) years of experience in demand generation roles (sales, marketing, or commercial operations) in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, execute and deliver as part of a global commercial leadership team, frequently without direct ownership of all day-to-day operational resources
  • Experience with integrating tactics (data, insights, technology, content, people, process) into an end-to-end view of customer, to design plans and organize teams
  • Ability to drive a customer obsessed culture while building employee-obsessed efforts to inspire the team

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Change leader, able to activate engagement and culture shift
  • Experience with leading teams to adopt digital tools, technology, and growing related skills
  • Analytical skills to evaluate data and use it to make decisions
  • Experience managing end to end commercial operations programs that apply to customers in both a key-account approach and mid- longtail management requiring diversified strategies
  • Proven ability to work effectively and collaboratively with key stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and strengthen organizations, build teams, bring our customer needs to life and effectively motivate and energize organizationally
  • Problem-solving and customer service skills
    • Demonstrated collaborative approach aligning teams to achieve business goals
    • Demonstrated commercial operations capabilities and leadership across strategy, planning, and execution
    • Customer facing experience preferred in previous roles
  • Advanced influence, collaboration, consensus building, and communications skills across countries and cultures
  • Agile leader, able to adapt approaches in dynamic environments to deliver the right outcomes

Work location:

  • Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to St. Paul at least 3 days per week)
