Amazon is looking for a world class senior scientist to join its AWS AI Labs working within natural language processing. This group is entrusted with developing core data mining, natural language processing, and machine learning solutions for AWS services. At AWS AI Labs you will invent, implement, and deploy state of the art machine learning algorithms and systems. You will build prototypes and explore conceptually large scale natural language processing solutions. You will interact closely with our customers and with the academic community. You will be at the heart of a growing and exciting focus area for AWS and work with other acclaimed engineers and world famous scientists.

Hybrid Work

- 3+ years of building machine learning models for business application experience
- PhD, or Master's degree and 6+ years of applied research experience
- Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language
- Experience with neural deep learning methods and machine learning

- Experience with modeling tools such as R, scikit-learn, Spark MLLib, MxNet, Tensorflow, numpy, scipy etc.
- Experience with large scale distributed systems such as Hadoop, Spark etc.
- Experience in building speech recognition, machine translation and natural language processing systems (e.g., commercial speech products or government speech projects)
