AWS Security is looking for a Senior Security Engineer to manage security vulnerabilities in third-party software and open source libraries. You will be responsible for analyzing the security of third-party software used by AWS applications and services, discovering and addressing security risks, building security automation, and quickly reacting to new threat scenarios. You will have the opportunity to learn from, and be mentored by, those who are building and securing our services.Key job responsibilities
* Perform security risk assessments
* Perform vulnerability analysis
* Drive large scale and high impact remediation
* Work with service teams to develop scalable solution to manage third-party software security risks
* Project and research work as needed.
* Security training and outreach to internal development teams.
* Security guidance documentation.
* Security workflow automation.
* Security metrics delivery and process improvements.
* Assistance with recruiting activities.

- BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with security engineering (vulnerability management, risk assessments, secure coding, performing security investigations, application security, threat hunting, vulnerability management, and/or incident response)
- Familiarity with common attack patterns and exploitation techniques for web & mobile applications.
- Knowledge of commonly found software security vulnerabilities (like OWASP top 10) and remediation techniques.
- Knowledge of cloud security and basic network security related concepts
