Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer II

Role Description:

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities will span systems engineering activities supporting Mainframe (System z) Storage projects with varying degrees of complexity – includes system design, build, development, implementation, maintenance, operations, and client support across infrastructure and software. We are looking for someone who can work under minimal supervision from more seasoned consultants or managers and support senior personnel and project managers on technical projects; you will be supporting and help train junior analysts, including guiding and providing technical peer reviews. We are looking for someone who can work on complex problems, analysis of situations or data that requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors; exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results.

This is a fast-paced environment, you will need to be able to swop between projects as well as supporting the wider teams.

• Extensive experience as aStorage administrator

• Considerable technical documentation writing skills

• Considerable experience with Hitachi Vantara DASD synchronous and asynchronous replication

• Considerable experience with IBM TAPE GRID configurations

• Considerable experience with Broadcom (Brocade) FICON directors and channel extension

• Involved with implementation of new MF Storage technologies.

• In-depth knowledge of ACC/SRS, ACS, DFHSM, ICKDSF, CA1, User Catalogs, ABARS, TDMF, and DFDSS

• Provide 24x7 on-call rotation support with weekend and evening work required

Skills that will help:

• Proficient with SAS, VISIO, MS Office, and REXX

• Project management skills

• Assembler, CLIST, and REXX knowledge

• Conceptual understanding of Mainframe Operations
