You will manage API sales and marketing activities in the North American Region and generate new business opportunities with the allocated customers in an effort to meet or exceed work plan sales goals.

How you’ll spend your day
  • Achieve sales targets defined
  • Continuously analyze assigned customer base to identify and develop new opportunities and re-evaluate existing opportunities
  • Identify new customers through market analysis
  • Expand the network within the branded companies segment while identify and execute on new business opportunities
  • Assist in the execution of commercial and developmental purchase orders and agreements with the assigned accounts
  • Travel throughout the defined territories in order to maximize sales and meet the target number of visits
  • Manage defined accounts with back office customer service, marketing, finance and logistical support
  • Meet all customers' needs based on identification, presentation and sale of products to the customer
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of the product line, understanding the needs of this group of customers, the competitive landscape and knowing how to sell Teva API's products based on their requirements.
  • Interact with global business units and customer base
  • Cultivate and maintain close contact with key information sources (vendors, suppliers, consultants, relevant academic institutions, technical professionals) and read key publications to stay current on new technological innovations
Your experience and qualifications
  • Bachelors degree is required, scientific discipline, ideally Chemistry, preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry, including at least 4 years API sales or business development experience with top pharmaceutical companies in the API space and broad understanding of the pharmaceutical market, including its players, products and API competitors
  • Experience identifying opportunities and executing on them in an expeditious manner
  • Knowledge of, understanding of and experience with international competition, business requirements, dynamics and trade regulations pertaining to own business operations
  • Knowledge of current and emerging technology within the industry and its implications from a competitive standpoint. Must be able to travel 25 to 30%, primarily domestic. International travel for trade shows, training purposes and with customers when necessary
