At IBM, Technical Solution Architects work to understand needs and then create complex high-quality solutions that make meaningful impact. You’ll be responsible for overall leadership and delivery of the solutions from requirement gathering through implementation. You’ll use your in-depth knowledge of leading-edge products and technologies along with industry and business skills to influence outcomes.
Your Role and Responsibilities- Self-motivated and proactive to build technical partnership and strategic engagements with the assigned GSI.
- Responsible for influencing the Partner’s technical strategy toward IBM’s Power System Technology.
- Defining, confirming, and communicating the differentiated value of Power Systems technology at both the technical and business level.
- He/she works to understand what the GSI is trying to accomplish and are able to articulate how to incorporate and embed IBM Power technology into Partner’s reference architectures, practices, and solutions.
- Using your technical solution knowledge and expertise on IBM Power, you’ll identify and engage decision-makers and influencers, qualify business opportunities, and respond to clients’ needs to create strategic, long-term technical engagements and partnerships.
- Leading Solution design, hardware sizing for RFx’s and create BOM, also work with IBM geo team for pricing.
- In this global role work closely with the assigned GSI partner, TPS, BPS, CSM, WW GSI team, and GSI Lab within India and out side India as well .
- Should have technical skills across the IBM Power System portfolio and IBM PowerVS cloud solutions.
- Drive Application Modernisation, Infrastructure Transformation, Data Centre Consolidation and Digital Transformation projects for end customer via GSI Engagements
- Increase partner’s technical capabilities by conducting technical awareness sessions, workshops on IBM Power System and Execute technical trainings that enable GSIs for badges/certifications.
- He/she can also mentor/guide GSI technical team on education/badges/certifications.
- Drive the creation of go-to-market programs, including marketing, technical engagements, enablement, and deployment plans
- Work with GSIs to build technical POCs/POTs, build joint technical solutions, create joint collaterals/assets with IBM Power Systems.
- Collaborating with the broader Power Ecosystem to build campaigns and incremental pipeline.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Minimum of 10 plus years in Technical Engagement or equivalent client/partner facing technical role for Infrastructure/Hardware (Preferably IBM Power)
- Technical and Professional Expertise, along with Depth and breadth of knowledge on IBM Power, Hybrid Cloud and or other IT Infrastructure experience to consult and advise, and quickly grow your reputation as your partner clients’ credible, trusted advisor.
- Experience with IBM Power Systems solution, sizing, capacity planning, BOM creation.
- Ability to engage in face-to-face partner engagements when appropriate.
- Strong Oral, Written Communication, and Presentation Skills.
- Eagerness to seek and build new skills.
- Work with GSIs to define and execute proof of concepts to integrate IBM Power Systems into their own (or 3rd party) solutions .
- A technical understanding of RedHat Openshift, Enterprise Linux and understanding about applications, databases, and networks are an added advantage.
