Responsibilities:

• Use Vis Plant monitoring software to review cycle times of automation, review and follow up automation project's and installations

• Troubleshoot PLC, Robot, conveyance, and other automation problems

• Update program backups for automation

• Program new installations of tooling and conveyor systems

• Reprogram automation for engineering changes and improvements

• Coordinate automation campaigns

• Ability to work any shift as well as rotating shifts and weekends

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• 4+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
• 1+ years of experience in Microsoft Office
• PLC programing using RS Logics5 and Control Logix 5000
• Ability to read prints, AutoCAD, interpret and modify electrical schematics
• Strong problem-solving skills, including 8Ds, FMEAs, DMAICs, and DOEs experience
• Ability to independently troubleshoot all body equipment and continuously evaluate equipment for improvement for quality and delivery
• Strong understanding of conveyors system programming and body tooling techniques, in addition to networking understanding, DH+, Ethernet, remote I/O

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
• Fanuc robot experience
• Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience
• Lean Tools – 5S, Kanban, Poka-yoke, and Value Stream Mapping experience
• Experience with TQM and Kaizen Methods
• Visual Factory Management
