You will work alongside experienced commodity markets and consulting professionals, developing skills to identify opportunities and excel in various consulting scenarios and commodity sub-sectors. Typically, you will be part of a broader cross-service line team on projects.
Your key responsibilities:
- Collaborate with other Directors/Associate Directors, and Partners to Identify, develop, and secure consulting opportunities with clients.
- Support business development efforts, including the preparation and presentation of proposals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are understood and met.
- Support the project leads by including planning, program management, and overseeing the creation and presentation of deliverables to senior client management.
- Coordinate with offshore resources by assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and managing their workload.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the consulting practice.
- Work on preparing progress reports and client deliverables and guide the team in preparing reports and other client deliverables.
- Ensure high-quality outcomes in the delivery that meet client expectations.
- Manage and mentor a team of consultants, providing guidance, feedback, and professional development opportunities.
- Oversee the assessment and management of risks associated with client engagements, including trading, financial, and operational risks.

- Commodity Trading and Commercial
- Commodity Risk management- Exposure assessment, measurement, and management
- Commodity, Interest rate, Forex and Derivative operations.
- Commodity Desk and Market Risk Reviews.
- Commodity compliance and regulation.
- Trade Surveillance related advisory.
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Qualified CA/ CFA, FRM or Master in Finance or other equivalent qualifications (Accounting & Finance, Commodities, Engineering, etc.)
- At least 6 to 10 years of experience as a Commodities Trading Specialist and of leading teams.
- Expertise in commercial aspects of commodity trading (contract and asset optimization, exposure management, cargo MtM, option/optionality valuation) and related aspects (including Risks, Controls, Operating Model Set Up, Strategy and Operations).
- Microsoft excel proficiency with experience in financial modelling, Scenario analysis, Stress testing, VaR computations etc. using excel
- Microsoft PowerPoint proficiency – Experience in delivering project reports and proposals using PowerPoint.
- An ability to confidently speak across one or more commodity sub-segments (energy, agriculture, base metals, precious metals, bulks, renewables/carbon, etc.)
- Work experience in strategy, operations, or large-scale transformation.
- Business development and project delivery experience
- Good industry network
- Travel to client locations across ASEAN and global markets as necessary

- Established networking skills in a relevant industry.
- Experience in front- (Trading, Sales, Marketing, Structuring, etc.), middle- (Risk, Product Control, etc.) or back-office (Finance Operations, Physical Operations, etc.) roles in commodity firms or financial services firms.
- Initiative-taking individuals with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize shifting workloads in a rapidly changing industry.
